Completion
From the long nights of February through the dog days of August, seven months of wizardry finally yielded the completed form. Lest ye forget what unclean Chaos gripped the land lo those many moons ago, study this visual proof of miraculous transformation, from then to now:

Is there something wrong with me that the first thing I saw when looking at the side elevation was a swastika?

No, there’s nothing wrong with you. In the original design the (unintended) “swastika” was even more prominent–I noticed it immediately and complained to the architect. He redid the patterning of the panels and simplified the paint patterns to try to break up the “swastika effect.” Clearly it’s still there to some degree. The architect said we should think of it as a “dynamic pinwheel.”
